If you stuff your title, META tags and pages with loads of keywords, you'll come up high in the search engines on all of them.

Uh-uh. Sorry. You won't. The chances are you will come up for none of them. Not even the one that really matters.

Facts
How you are listed by a search engine is largely beyond human control in that it is all calculated by software. A computer decides who will come up tops and who won't. Confuse the computer and you stand no chance. Keep it simple.

I think one of the greatest dangers is that people are so often simply unaware of the truth. This leaves them open to blatant deception and terrible dissapointment. We won't even talk about being a little lighter in the pocket!

It is so easy to impress people when you are sprouting jargon and making all sorts of wild promises, but the most worrying part of it all is that the people who are impressed by nonsense surrounding the internet are often the same people who would demand all sorts of guarantees and solid information when dealing with any other aspect of their business.

Yet there is no difference. The same basic good sense principles apply online as the ones that apply offline.

Don't get hooked into the hype. Rather, take a moment and do some research for yourself. Speak to someone you trust. Ask them whose advice they trust. Read, research and read some more. Even pay someone else to do research for you. The cost of that may actually end up cheaper in the long run.
